School Counseling and Psychological Services

School counselors are available to students in kindergarten through twelfth grade.  A developmental guidance curriculum focusing on the academic, personal, social, and career development of each child is provided.  Individual and group counseling is available to students demonstrating such a need.  The counselors are involved in the standardized assessment of all students at selected grade levels.  The counselors play a key role in the Pupil Services Team and are an important element in linking student needs with available programs and services.

School psychologists are available to provide services to students between the ages of three and twenty-one.  The school psychologists provide consultation, diagnostic assessment, and direct intervention with respect to the educational and behavioral development of students.  School psychologists are specially trained to administer individual tests; interpret tests and behavioral data to parents, teachers, and others; and to coordinate educational management efforts with other staff regarding special programming for individuals or groups of pupils.
