Academic information on students can be accessed through Skyward's Family Access. Click here to learn more or login to this online resource to view grades, attendance and other information.
Students, who are struggling in classes, should reach out to their teachers as a first step.
We encourage students and caring adults to utilize the academic planner to monitor assignments, tests, and projects. Building strong study skills now will aid students throughout their educational career.
There are also strategies recommended for studying and test taking. At the following site you will see sample supplemental books that talk about a variety of topics.
Under the “Academic Skill Building” there is a book titled “Learn to Learn” (Study Skills and Test Preparation). Also a little further down under “Basic Planning” the onTrac Planning and Smart Goals is where middle or high school students can utilize additional support for academic success. The Smart Goals is a supplement in next year’s academic planner used by the school.
Another useful resource, www.studygs.net/index.htm, provides information on time management, problem solving, studying, classroom participation and much more.
It may be motivating for students to know that the time they spend on academic leads to a future goal.
Fifth and sixth grade students are provided guidance lessons on goal setting. Students practice setting personal and/or career goals.
The Wisconsin Covenant is an opportunity for eighth graders to make a pledge for their future.
Wisconsin Covenant - Students who are currently in 8th grade are invited to sign the Wisconsin Covenant Pledge. The goal of the Wisconsin Covenant is to make sure that every eighth grader in Wisconsin knows that college is an option if he or she is willing to work hard during high school. By signing the Wisconsin Covenant Pledge, students know what they need to do in high school to prepare for higher education.
