We have a large number of field trips, athletic events, and other activities yet this spring. Please review the guidelines below for early release. Thank You
Leaving Class Early for an Event: If you do not have all assignments done on time, DO NOT expect to be able to leave class early for athletics. You will likely miss or be late for your game that day. The teacher has the final say, not you or the coach. Get your assignments done so you can continue to play your role on your team.
Leaving Class Early for an Event 2: Tell your teacher the day before that “I have an athletic event and plan to leave class at a designated time”…”what can I do to complete my work ahead of time and be ready for the next class?” Please have an attitude of respect and courtesy toward teachers on this. They see the value of your athletic experience and want to support you, but need to see your investment and attention to “getting things done”. You are not entitled to leave early…you have to earn it.
Leaving Class Early for an Event 3: There is a designated time for your early release. Your teachers are aware of the time. Please do not gather your items to leave until that time. Teachers will respect that you are making the most of the time that you are in class.
Grades: While this is not a designated grade check period, failing grades can limit your participation the remainder of this spring. Additionally, failing grades carry over into the fall for all student in 9th-11th grades. They will count toward your eligibility at that point. Continue to seek support in the areas that you struggle in.
